Today is our last of 3 days in Selcuk, a small city on the Aegean coast of Turkey next to the ruins of Ephesus. We saw the ruins yesterday, which were amazing, and today went to a small town in the hills 8 km from here called Sirince. Just a quick note that we are now in Kayakoy. further west along the Turkish coast. We spent 3 nights in Cirali, which we absolutely loved. We could have spent more time there. Very beautiful, low-key and relaxing.
After 5 days Istanbul, the New York of Turkey, we flew down to the coast and are now in a completely different world. We’re in Cirali, a very small, relaxing town on the coast between two mountains. One of mountains has natural flames of fire coming out of the ground called Chimaera. We’re going to see those tonight. The ancient ruins of Olympos are nearby.
